ndrea Anderson was born in Buchanan, Michigan where her musical skills began attracting attention at the age of four. She studied at the Manhattan School of Music, Columbia University, University of Southern California and recently earned her PhD at Claremont Graduate University. Her teachers have been Robert Steinbauer, Bela Nagy, Robert Goldsand, Jeaneane Dowis, Gwendolyn Koldofsky, Daniel Pollack, and Bernardo Ségall.

Ms. Anderson was granted the Harold Bauer Award by the Manhattan School and a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation for further study and performance at the Aspen Music Festival. Sponsors have been awarded grants by the National Endowment for the Arts to present Ms. Anderson's performances.

Andrea has performed in the United States, China, Sweden, Finland, and Lithuania. Recent US performances have included such prestigious venues as Arizona State University, University of Utah, University of Nevada at Las Vegas, California Institute of Technology, the Palm Springs Desert Museum and the University of the South. Her Journey into Impressionism, a unique program combining art and music has been hailed by critics and audiences alike.
