Premier Performance of Andrea’s Latest Program...

Perhaps the only true musical Impressionist, Claude Debussy worked to capture the sensation of being in nature into his music. Pianist Andrea Anderson performs Debussy’s music with astonishing color and poetic nuance. Images of art and nature will enhance the performance.

Program: Reverie, Mazurka and Danse from 1890 begin the evening followed by mature works from Preludes Book I such as The Sunken Cathedral and Girl with the Flaxen Hair. The complete Images and Estampes round out the program, which will conclude with the exciting and sensuous L'isle joyeuse (Island of Pleasure).
